The atmosphere was quite festive at Carlyle on September 5th. Staff, students, parents and community members gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the school year. Air Bounce rides as well as a surprise visit from the firemen were a sure hit with the students. Mayor Vera Danyluk joined Principal Itrat Ahmad, Commissioner Ron Paterson and former MNA Joan Dougherty in welcoming everyone.
Town Security officers were on hand barbecuing hot dogs and everyone enjoyed over 400 cobs of corn!
The evening was a great success. Singing and dancing to the popular hit song from High School Musical, “We’re All In This Together” was a reflection of the spirit at Carlyle School that day.
